Baytek Data Collection Appliance

Baytek International has developed a revolutionary process to solve the problem of networking laboratory instruments. The Baytek Data Collection Appliance, or BDCA, connects up to sixteen distinct devices ranging from gas chromatographs to any device with an RS-232 connector. The BDCA gives lab technicians the flexibility to work with a wide array of devices within the LIMS system.

Data protection during network outages is another important feature of the BDCA. Should the network go down, the lab does not have to stop functioning because the BDCA will continue to gather data. When the network comes back up, the BDCA will send the data to the server for processing.
