Ad-hoc Query

One of the driving forces behind WebBLISS’s creation was the ability for users outside of the lab to access results. Many customers have pushed the full WinBLISS thick client to their users outside the lab and have enjoyed the flexibility of easy lab data retrieval. However, this data retrieval functionality came with the added complexity of having the WinBLISS thick client installed on many computers outside the lab WebBLISS Ad-hoc Query greatly simplifies the process of making lab results available outside the lab. Ad-hoc Query allows for any user, with the necessary security permissions, to access lab results without installing any software – the only desktop application required is Internet Explorer.

The Ad-hoc Query screen allows the WebBLISS user to search with the same flexibility and ease that WinBLISS users are accustomed. Furthermore, WebBLISS users have the added advantage of controlling their search and display templates directly from the main search page. All of these settings can be saved as a favorite and replayed with a single click.

The search capabilities include:

  • Range of dates with calendar function
  • Relative dates such as -7 to 0 for the results for the last seven days
  • Drop down lists for units and sample points
  • Multi-sample point search selection
  • Sample Key search
  • Wild card searching on sample key values
  • Sample ID (Sequence Number) search
  • Single drop down selection for accessing archived data

The display controls include:

  • Selection of destination
    • Display (screen)
    • Excel
    • Print friendly format
  • Selection of header information
    • Unit number
